Sweetheart table / toasts & intro

TyleringTheKnot, on March 16, 2017 at 5:55 PM Posted in Planning 0 4

Hi all! I have been lurking for a while now, and have really found a lot of helpful advice here! I figured it was time for my intro. My name is Jamie and FH is Kiefer. As far as planning goes, we're mostly done booking vendors and just have little things left as well as invites to send out later this spring. We can't wait for the big day! We live in Michigan and can usually be found in the kitchen cooking together.

I would love to have a sweetheart table at our reception. My MOH has expressed interest in giving a toast - if we do a sweetheart table would she give her toast from her own table? Come and stand next to ours?

My mom is feeling like it would be weird and confusing for the BP not to be together, especially during this portion of the night. Thoughts/suggestions?

I've been in many weddings that were sweetheart tables. The DJ just asked the MOH and BM to come up front and handed us the mic. They just have to remember their glass Smiley smile

They can stand wherever they want as long as they can be heard. I was the MOH at a wedding with a sweetheart table and gave my speech from my table (standing up of course). No one was confused or questioned what I was doing.
