Sweetheart Table or Table with Bridal Party?

Kaysey, on November 29, 2019 at 3:28 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 13

I'm just curious to see what everyone is doing when it comes to where their bridal party is going to sit during the reception.

My FH and I have decided to have a sweetheart table and have our bridal party sit with their +1's. A majority of our bridal party is either married or in a relationship and we didn't want their +1's to be sitting with random people they may not know well.

What are your plans?

We did the same. We had a sweetheart table and our wedding party sat with their date/SO and kids if they had them.

We've not tackled this yet with seating arrangements and if we will have a strictly seating chart or will let our guest chose their seats or have our bridal party sitting with us or with their families.

We did a sweetheart table. We wanted our bridal party to be able to sit with their significant others. Also another plus side to a sweetheart table is we got some alone time and we’re able to talk to one another without interruptions.

We're going to do a sweetheart table because we're sure that our party will have friends/family that they would want to spend the time with. Also, it's a nice time to spend "alone" Smiley smile

Initially I wanted a sweetheart table but after finding out it was extra cost I just ended up doing bridal party table. Especially since we needed to fill our minimum of seating anyway

Sweetheart table and sitting our bridal party with other friends and family. Most of our bridal party have SOs or plus 1s, didn’t want them to awkwardly sit alone without their partner.

Right now we are thinking of doing a Sweetheart Table and our Wedding Party will be divided in different tables.

We did a sweetheart table and so happy we did. It gave people a chance to come talk to us and during toasts, it was almost more intimate. We could hug, cry, kiss and hold each other and not worry about others around. It was also more respectful (I think) to the bridal party.

Same. We did it because all but two of our bridal party have +1's who will know literally no one at our wedding. Plus then our two siblings can sit with our families and we can just be the center of attention Smiley laugh

We are doing a sweetheart table and a tables for the bridesmaids and groomsmen with their plus one. My moh is my sister and she will be at the family table with my parents. Same with my grooms best man who is his cousin will be sitting with his other cousins.

OMG, we are doing the same! We always hated sitting apart when one of us were in a wedding! Most of our people also have kids, so we are seating their kids with them. We have our little table, then four VIP tables for the bridal party/family, our parents and grandmother. The rest are banquet tables and everyone will *gasp* seat themselves. No seating chart for us! I have been to plenty of weddings, and it was never an issue to find a set for dinner with people you like! I just cannot wait!
