As a serial DIYer, I am obviously going into this very hands on! I want to have a few furniture pieces at the wedding so I have been thrifting and hunting FB market.
I had originally bought two antique dining chairs for $10 for my sweetheart table. But I stumbled upon a second set of chairs on FB market for free last week.
I am currently in the middle to refinishing all four chairs. Whichever two we like better will be the sweetheart table chairs, and the other two will sit by the cake table.
Last week I picked up some fabric from JoAnns that was heavily discounted bc it is outdoor fabric. I am going to use it to do all four of the seats. I thought the pattern was different, and very stunning.
I purchased a can of Rustoleum Chalked in Linen White and a can of the Rustoleum Chalked Smoked Glaze. I am going to experiment with the glaze tonight since I finally have my two coats of chalk paint on the free chairs.
My fiancé is very patient with my DIYing. I’ve taken over our sunroom with my project furniture. I also have an antique drop leaf table and an antique vanity I am also refinishing for the wedding.
Is anyone else refinishing furniture pieces to use at their wedding?
