Sweetheart Neckline Jewelry

MrsBurns, on March 2, 2016 at 11:43 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 19

My dress has a sweetheart neckline. I will wear drop earrings and a bracelet. I'm getting an updo. Will adding a necklace be too much jewelry with the earrings? Or would that be okay?

Do you have a pic of the earrings and bracelet? I don't see why it would be if the earrings and bracelet don't clash.

Mine is also sweetheart and I'm wearing drop earrings as well. I'm not wearing a necklace only because the bodice of my dress is very blingy. But if it wasn't I'd probably wear one

Mine dress has a sweetheart neckline. I'm wearing drop earrings, and considering a bracelet too. But I really like the way my neckline looks without a necklace, so I think I'm skipping that.

Oh! I am not the only one having the sweetheart neckline-necklace-or-no-necklace debate! I have earrings and a bracelet as well. I feel like a simple necklace would be too simple, but I am not one to wear showy jewelry and am afraid I would look silly with a "statement piece" necklace...

I have a sweetheart neckline but it has bling all along it, so I'm skipping a necklace and will wear more flashy earrings and possibly a bracelet. The sweetheart neckline itself is so beautiful that you really don't need a necklace!

The only bling on my dress is the belt, which can be taken off. I'm wearing a bracelet, just a skinny diamond one that I've already had. I'll be wearing the earrings below (got them for $100 off!) and no other jewelry besides rings.

try with and without a necklace. I think it could be overkill but that's just me

drop earrings are not a bad idea, I considered them too

My dress has a sweetheart neckline and I'm considering a Y Necklace. Something similar to the one below.

My dress also had a bling bodice and a lot of detail. So I may just skip the necklace. I don't want to over do the bling plus I have a tiara.

@beachbride2016 thank you! I bought them on vacation where they were cheaper and there was no sales tax (USVI)

I knew I wanted them before I found them in the store but they're almost $300 on tacori.com Smiley sad

I wore blingy earrings with a simpler necklace with my sweetheart neckline. You can't see the jewellery in my profile pic, but you can get an idea of the neckline. Its your WEDDING.. the one day you can do more! Smiley laugh

Just try both and see if it looks better with or without necklace.

My shoulders are super broad so I wore a bigger (to me, I don't usually wear jewelry) necklace and drop earrings. I think it depends on your body and style for the right fit. I wanted to cover real estate and bring attention to my center. If your dress has a lot of bling, I'd go for a more simple necklace.

    I'm visual, so here's a pic of mine :-)

I'm doing earrings, necklace and bracelet- however, my earrings aren't drop. I think it would look pretty though!

I'm torn between drop earrings, which I usually wear, or some heirloom pearl studs to honor my grandma (who gave them to me and died last year). If the studs, I'll definitely wear some kind of necklace.

I too have a sweetheart neckline and a necklace was a must for me (I wear one everyday). My wedding dress has a lot of rhinestone and bead work on it so I thought this necklace was great!

When I first tried on my dress I had a simple pearl solitaire. I love the way that looks so I'm switching it to a simple diamond solitaire to match my drop earrings!

You don’t need to wear a necklace with your sweetheart neckline wedding dress. And still if you want to wear necklace, then you can wear single line necklace with a tiny and light pendant. Enjoy!!
