Is anybody writing a sweet note to their FH & vice versa to read on the day of? I’m writing mine now & thought I’d share a few lines because I’m now sobbing at the fact that I get to marry my person in 23 days 🥺 we’re doing traditional vows so these will be some of my own that I’ll include in my letter to my FH 🤍 share some of yours if you have one!

“ to dream with you and to celebrate with you. (Even the little things) I vow to join your laughter with my own, and when you can’t see the bright side of things I vow to sit with you in the dark and comfort you. I vow to always pursue you, to fight for you and for us, and I vow to make sure I’m not just hungry when I’m quote on quote “upset””
“ I promise to always see you with the same eyes and the same heart that I see you with at this exact moment.”

Those are awesome! Ours were more humerus. His-“I vow to never make fun of your cooking again & call it slop; I vow to not change the channel when your favorite show is on.
Mine-“I vow to make you think you’re in charge almost once a week; I vow to celebrate when our favorite team wins or bring you a beer when they lose.”

I love those. I also have some humor in my letter as well 🤣 I think I said something like “I vow to always cheer with you when football is on and I vow to cry with you when the Steelers lose a game” “I vow to let go of my stubbornness and accept that I am not always right (except I am)” etc. and I can only imagine what he’s going to say 🤦🏼‍♀️

They are beautiful words . Instead of doing for richer, for poorer etc we wrote our own vows to say to each other and then wrote some nice words to say to each other as well. We had things like we would watch AFL (Australian football) and cricket together.

That's cute, my husband and I did the same thing. We shared them privately to each other the day that we got married. We plan on doing the same thing for our upcoming reception next weekend as well!

Love this!!
My FH and I are going to sign the papers two weeks before our "wedding" So that our anniversary is on our 4 year dating anniversary. We aren't exchanging vows at that point, but instead going to write letters to each other that we will exchange and read right before signing the certificate. He is the most wonderful writer and love letters are a key part of our relationship (even though my writing kinda sucks lmao) So I am excited to incorporate that and make it meaningful

On top of writing our own vows we are exchanging cards. I'd like to do a first touch not a first look and exchange them then.
