Sweaty Girl Problems πŸ™„

Johana, on March 9, 2020 at 1:10 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 1 9
Not sure if I'm the only one who deals with this, but when I apply makeup on my face, the foundation on my upper lip manages to melt away in the matter of seconds because of my upper lip sweat! I have tried using setting spray before and after the makeup application, I have tried using translucent powder to set it in place, but it just doesn't set! It just melts right off and then my upper lip doesnt match the rest of my face lmao ... anyone have any tips?

Maybe try setting powder before foundation? Use a powder brush and apply a little bit of powder and then your foundation. I tend to sweat fast because I’m a big girl so I started using setting powder first and then my foundation, concealer, setting spray and setting powder again with my beauty blender and I noticed not only does my makeup stay on longer but this method made my makeup look airbrushed!

Wow I never thought of putting wet over dry... I always thought it was a sin in the makeup community haha... definitely will try it out, thanks for the advice!

You can also try a makeup primer! I use one from Smashbox and it helps keep your makeup from melting off. Same concept as using a setting powder first, just in a gel form. I have combo oily/normal skin so using a primer has been a life saver for me in terms of keeping my foundation in place Smiley smile Here's a link to the primer if you want to look into it more: https://www.sephora.com/product/photo-finish-foundation-primer-P9889

Yeah I use primer, it doesn't make much of a difference on my upper lip area lol .... this never happened before, it's just been happening for like the past 2 years... maybe I should try using different brands of foundation.... see which one works?
