Super overwhelmed

Ahhh you’re 11 days before me! You’re right about this weird space where there’s so much time but yet it’s flying by (and maybe you feel the same that some days you’re glad it’s moving quickly and other days you just want it to slow down). Have you been keeping checklists? One thing that I’ve found helps when I’m getting overwhelmed is to look back at everything we’ve crossed off already to remind myself how much we’ve been able to accomplish! That makes the rest of the list seem more doable.


What all do you still have left to do? I also find it helpful to compare to others with a similar timeline to know if we’re falling behind everywhere. We just had our planning meeting with our florist this morning, which was very exciting but also like…we know nothing about flowers haha!

Oh yess I been keeping list of all different things. We have accomplished a lot of things lol. I just get so overwhelmed lol 😆
We just have little things to do .Most of the big things are taken care of .
I also have to write my vows lol m 😅 😆 so nervous hahaha

24 days away ..... I have no clue what sleep is, and my nerves are shot ....... and this is my 3rd time around. What the heck!?!.! 🤣🤣 People have NO respect for the RSVP deadline (this Friday) and my one vendor just cancelled out (emergency surgery) so I am scrambling for a replacement (videophotographer) Enjoy your 135 days now while you can! LOLOL

136 days to go for me! One minute I'm extremely anxious and overwhelmed and the next I'm sitting back cause I still have 4 months to go.

Feeling the same way! Mine is 183 days away and it feels like time is flying! I try to just give myself weekly goals. Last week I researched DJ’s. This week I’m researching florists. Just take it one step at a time and yes checklists help. Deep breaths.

The best way to calm your nerves is by trying to have all your wedding task finalized 60 days before your wedding. So the last 60 days prior to your big day, you and your spouse can spend time reconnecting.

Yes, actually THEY contacted someone and sent my information. Just now in the process of contracts, etc.

I started planning my wedding over a year ago, and it was stressful and overwhelming the whole time, wedding resentment is a thing. Now it's only 22 days away and I'm finally able to look forward to it because I ended up simplifying most things and either let go of details, or asked a trusted person to deal with it. Also, I started to control my inputs--like who I was talking to about my wedding, I stopped looking at brides.com, I limited my news reading, and social media scrolling, and I put a time block on how many Pinterest feeds I consumed. I think that if you can accept that it's going to be stressful now, so that you can be less stressed later, that helped me too. Hope that helps and congratulations!
