Super early bachelorette party???

Megan, on April 2, 2020 at 10:08 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 5
I have a party of 5 girls plus me who will be going on the bachelorette party. 2 of those girls are pregnant, and 1 is underage. My wedding isn’t until April of 2021, so if I wait till around then most of my girls won’t really be able to participate in my party with newborns. How would you guys feel if you were a bridesmaid and celebrated the bachelorette party 6 months before the wedding? They will be prego so no drinking but they will at least be able to be there. I’m still deciding between a destination party or just staying local for the weekend. Opinions on all of this??!

6 months before your wedding would be November- I’d assume your pregnant friends would either have already given birth or will be too far along to travel anywhere. I would honestly just hold off on planning anything for now and maybe do something local closer to the wedding- moms can go out for a night when they have a baby that’s a few months old.

I had my bachelorette back in August, but my wedding was late February. I wanted it during summer so that the weather was good and vegas day club were open.

My girls were totally fine with with it. It was also good because my wedding was semi-destination so most of my friends that attended my bachelorette had to take time off for my wedding. This helped space out their vacation as well as costs for the trips.

6 months was just an estimation! If we stay local I’d want the weather to be decent enough so it would be earlier than November. I guess more like 8-9 months early.

I would do what ever you and your girls decide! Ask them what they think!

I would get everyone's opinion on this. The pregnant gals probably can't give a good estimate on their availability, but personally, I'd much rather do my bach later to increase the likelihood they might come than do it soon when they can't drink and will probably be pretty uncomfortable. This should be a conversation you're having with all of them (especially since you're not the one who throws the bachelorette)
