Sunday funday?

Julie, on July 17, 2018 at 7:34 PM Posted in Planning 0 9
What’s your thoughts on a Sunday wedding? We can get the elite venue at half price and thought that we could plan golfing and all kinds of family/friends fun on Saturday?

We're having ours in 6 weeks on the Sunday before Labor Day. It was cheaper and because it's on a holiday weekend, people were more likely to come.

We're having a Sunday wedding as well. The venue pricing was much cheaper. It might mean some people will leave the reception early due to possibly having work the next day, but I've been to Sunday weddings before and had a blast

We had a Sunday wedding that ended at 930. Everyone stayed till the end and even partied afterwards until about midnight

If I had to travel, I probably wouldn't go to a Sunday wedding, unless it was a long weekend. You will lose some guests that way but there will be others who don't mind.

Our wedding is Sunday May 26th memorial day weekend. I love that I have a saturday to get things done before the wedding and monday is a holiday so we can party late.

I’d love a Sunday brunch wedding! Sunday evening ok too if early afternoon/evening (cake cutting at 7:30 maybe. I’d probably want to leave 8:30ish to go home & get ready for work week).

Save some money & do Sunday! 🙂

Sunday weddings are great--though they have a different vibe to be sure. Unless it's a three-day weekend, many of your guests might have to scurry off early from a Sunday evening wedding. Brunch or afternoon weddings would be a great option for Sunday--and have the benefit of possibly being even cheaper!

FWIW, unless late on Saturday evenings--Jewish weddings are typically on Sundays.

I went to a Sunday wedding this past weekend. Had a blast and they had lots of attendees! I think they are fine and can be just as fun!

I’m getting married on Sunday and it was not cheaper. We just loved the date and venue and it was available. I’m in NYC, so that’s probably the reason for it not being any cheaper. I say go for it!
