Summer brides

I really want my hair half up / half down...BUT I get hot, and I am already wearing a big hot dress, so I'll be wearing it up.

I'm doing a curly pony. So, at the very least the nape of my neck will not have hair on it.

I'm wearing mine down with a greenery crown that my florist is making me. Majority of our wedding is indoors so I'm not that worried about the heat.

Getting married in August and I'll have an updo. I really want to show off my dress and don't want any hair in my face. So I thought an updo would be best.

Hey again twinnie! I think updo for summer is preferable but I mean you can do both one for ceremony one for reception, I've seen that done lots recently.

I agree - originally wanted half up/half down, but in late July, I am deciding for up, too....

My wedding is in the hot Texas sun in mid June. Outside ceremony and reception. I'm definitely wearing my hair half up half down though. It's such a pretty look!

I’m doing a loose braid! That way it’ll be off my neck but since my hair is fairly long it’ll hang down my back as if it were down. I also get super hot bc of my hair so I feel your pain haha

I'm expecting I'll be hot so I'm wearing it up. I'd rather just not take the chance.

I got married in October. Definitely not crazy heat by any means. But I'll tell you what, I was glad I decided to go with the hair up (not high, but off my neck) instead of my original plan to do half and half - between running around, getting dressed, standing at the ceremony and then all the dancing and partying...the back of my neck would have been SO WARM! So if heat is a factor and you are uncomfortable with sweating, especially in July I would say go with it at least off your neck!

I would probably do an up hairstyle in the summer months.

Yes that's where i get hot the most. My hair is always either in a pony or a high bun, so i wanted to go for a different look

Mine is indoor also but traveling from A to B is what worries me lol

Getting married in August. To avoid fussing with it and potentially getting too warm, getting a full updo bum style. My dress is also very intricate on the top and I want to show it off. This was my trial, the only change is bringing the bin higher.

I had the same debate! Initially, our possible date was October so I had imagined hair half up half down, but since changing it to the beginning of August in TX, I decided all up would be best. I plan on dancing a lot and since my dress is already going to make me warm, I don’t need extra heat from my hair

Same! Getting married in August in California and didn't want my hair to take away from how beautiful the dress is! Getting a low bun with loose curls in the front.
