Suits!

Where are your grooms getting suits from?!

We’re looking for steel blue for him and grey for the groomsmen. Not sure what he wants to do in terms of buying/renting.

Ours are renting theirs from Men's Wearhouse- with 9 guys in 3 states all with varying body types this just made the most sense. Plus if you dress 7+ people the groom gets his suit for free!

The Men's Warehouse deal is great if you have a larger wedding party. But my FH only has 3 guys, so he won't be able to take advantage of that deal. Plus, we were talking the other day, and he told me he'd rather buy a suit that he can keep, and have for other occasions. He only owns one suit now, and it's getting pretty old. So, his mom is going to buy his wedding suit, and then we've reworked what his guys will wear, so that it's not so expensive. We're putting them in some kind of grey slacks, white dress shirt, and suspenders and tie that match the BMs dress color. I think since there's only 3 of them, we're going to buy the suspenders and ties, and so the men will only be responsible for their pants and shirt, which isn't such a big deal, money wise, and pretty easy to find at most department stores. When it gets closer, I'll be combing the sale ads to find the best prices on that stuff.

My FH is opting for a suit he already owns. He hates spending money on something he already has Smiley laugh

I would always suggest buying over renting. It's almost always a similar price and it seems silly to spend hundreds for something you don't get to keep.

We built our own suits for the guys! We used amazon, jcpenney, and old navy. In total, the whole outfit was less than $100, which is way less than renting.

Our guys are buying suits from Jos A Banks. We checked Men's Warehouse, but ultimately liked Jos better. They can set up a group for the guys (and also can include dads) and you can lock in on the current price at any time, and change it if a better deal comes along before the guys go in to buy the suits. We started with $250 traveler's suits, and then switched to $300 custom suits (since we thought tailoring the traveler's suits would probably average to $25 or more), and ultimately went back to the traveler's suits when they had a great sale for $200. We also locked in a price on shirts, we bought all the ties from Azazie to match the girls' dresses, and are telling them to wear a brown belt and shoes.
