Whats everyone doing for guys suits?
With the pandemic and stores being closed, and people being out of work.
Im wondering if i should even have the guys get suits? Is there enough time for my october wedding? What if they got matching dress shirts and ties? The girls already have their dresses.Has anyone done just shirts and ties? I DONT want it to look tacky Be brutally honest with me lol

Try Etsy.com and change the search filter to US shops only.

I've seen pictures of dress shirts and ties only but they're usually for summer weddings when it's too hot for a suit jacket. It really depends on what look you're going for. In fall, the weather can be all over the place so it's hard to say what would be appropriate. Also, it depends on the formality too. For a super casual wedding, you could get away with it, but not for something dressier than semi-formal/Sunday Best.

Hmm that is very true. The wedding in Wisconsin which is known for crazy wedding. So it could be very cold. Also we are going for a more formal look so not im thinking suits would be more appropriate

We used menguin.com for suit rentals. Excellent customer service. Would highly recommend.

I went to a wedding where all they had were dress shirts and bow ties. It didn't look bad or tacky, only for the fact that most of the guys' shirts weren't ironed. The look is simple, but I don't know what look you're going for though. With the stores closed, we just ordered everything online from JC Penny which had a pretty good selection of suits. For my July wedding groomsmen are wearing vests over their dress shirts with a tie.

My husband just asked his guys to wear a black suit with a white shirt and we bought their ties for $15 each. We didn’t make a big shopping and measuring experience out of it. They looked great and matched just fine.

I think it depends on the formality of your wedding. But I do think you have plenty of time to get suits. I would check out either Black Tux or Generation Tux. They are online based companies and both offer a try at home before you buy service. They have tuxes and suits.

If you want them to wear suits or tuxes, you can go with an online rental company. You set up the wedding party style and it will send a link to the groomsmen to enter their sizes and pay. In general, they need to be paid for about 3 weeks in advance of your date. It's an easy process, with the outfits being mailed to them and a prepaid return label.

If you want to go the matching shirt and tie look, most retail stores are still open online. Find the items you like, send the link to everyone, and have them buy it. There's plenty of time before October, so no need to panic. Good luck!

We just had ours wear white dress shirt, suspenders, and a bow tie. so if worse comes to worse everyone i'm sure can get a white or black dress shirt and a bow tie.

I would honestly put them in suits or tuxes. I don't necessarily think only having them in shirts and ties is tacky (it's fine for other people, but not for me), but it's definitely not formal. We're using the Black Tux and we've had a pretty good experience with them so far and they're not too expensive.
Also if you want to help them save money, you can let them wear their own shoes and shirts and you can give them ties as part of their groomsmen gifts. The Tie Bar has about a million colors/patterns and most of the ties are only $25.
