Suits for Groom and Groomsmen

Dayla, on January 30, 2018 at 11:03 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12
Looking for where people found the best deals for their groom and groomsmen attire! My FH has 7 groomsmen so we were hoping to find a place that gave a group discount.

So far we’ve looked at Macy’s which offers 50% plus and additional 25% of the 2 piece set IF we have our registry there.

I think we will use this. Its a rental company and you get the suit 2 weeks before the wedding day so you have plenty of time to try it on and get a new one if it doesnt fit. Plus you have 3 days after the wedding to send it back.

FH and his GMs are getting their tuxes from Top Hat Tuxedos. He also has 7 groomsmen. They have a group discount where if you rent at least 6, you get the 7th free. FOG and FOB also get a discount for renting from the same store as well.

    Renting? The Black Tux

Buying? If they don't often wear a suit, but one would come in handy for other weddings and funerals, You can find great deals at Macys, J C Penney, Burlington Coat Factory. Have all of them get properly measured so you can jump on a bargain when you find one.

Jos A Banks is where FH got his suit. It was $250 due to a group discount and another $55 to tailor it.

Friar Tux has a sale going you get a free tux rental if you have somewhere between 5 and 7 people who need a suit. We were at a bridal show on Sunday that also offered a free purchased suit in addition to all of this.

Personally I do not Mens warehouse. We have had horrible experiences when trying to set up tuxedos rentals for weddings. I also found that their prices are extremely high when compared. Try to find a local shop by where you live and see what prices they give you. When we went to Mens warehouse, the clerk was extremely rude, condescending, and just plain hateful. When we went to the bridal show I actually spoke with a person, and informed him of our experience. After I told him the story he informed me that he was regional manager and asked me to give them another chance. He gave me his card, gave me a name to contact, which I did, and we set up an appt. Well when we got there it was the same person who we had previously and nothing changed. Also, we just went there to give them another try, at a different location, and unfortunately we had the same hateful, rude, experience. The cost for the tuxedos rental would have been $283. for each guy to include my 12 year old grandson. We found a local tuxedo place, who has been in business for 30 years. We are getting the same tuxedos, with all the extras, for $100 a person, with the groom being free and my grandson only being $50. The amount of money we are saving just on tuxedos alone is $1614....I know that money can be spent better then on a tuxedo rental.
