Suits for Dads and Bros

I think gray would look really nice! Are you going to have them also wear the robin egg blue ties?

My dad and mom both wore navy while the rest of the WP wore mismatched shades of grey. i am on team mismatched all the way--here's a pic from my side of the WP to give you an idea of what we did.

I'm having my groomsmen wear navy, mothers wear navy, and the fathers wear gray with navy or pink ties.

I think gray would be nice! Our guys will be in lighter gray, and the tux shop said that most of the dads choose to wear a darker gray in the same suit so that they match, but aren't "matchy-matchy". I think it looks great.

Unless they are renting, I would tell them to wear whatever suit they already own.

FH and I decided to have our fathers in the same suit as the bridal party, since they are family and an important role that day - and everyday.

Groomsman will be in light gray and the family who wanted to order rentals will be in black since the bridesmaids are in a dark blue. My sister is a bridesmaid so her in dark blue(not navy) and her boyfriend in navy I thought would look funny so we settled on black for family.

We have enough contingency in the budget to either rent a suit for my brothers or subsidize their suit purchase. My little brother has a lovely gray suit already, and since he just moved & got a new job, I'd love to save him the stress of getting a new suit. That would mean my older brother could use the contingency money to buy a gray suit. My dad was planning on purchasing a new suit anyway.

I think a gray suit would look much better with a blue tie than a navy suit would.
However, you should let your family wear whatever they choose.
