Suit Rentals

Patricia, on December 18, 2017 at 11:08 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 20
Any suggestions on good quality suit rentals, I've looked into Men's warehouse & Jos A. Bank. Also, is it too soon to have the GM get fitted/put down deposits?

I have 3 kids in my BP - Ring bearer 3 years old, Usher 8 years old & Jr. GM 14 years old. Is it too soon for them ??

I was looking to set an appointment up mid-january.

The old WW stated our date below our name, 08.18.18. Did he just order online? Was there deals for multiple rentals like x5 or x10?

My husband ordered online. I'm not sure if they had deals for multiple rentals since we didn't have groomsmen. The quality of the suits were great, and it was an easy process. Mid-January for your August wedding is plenty of time.

Black Tux. Make sure your FI has a conversation with his groomsmen before he chooses a suit to ensure he remains within their budget. Once he has made his choice, he can pass on the info to the men and they can take it from there.

The ring bearer, usher and jr groomsman are part of the groom's party and the wedding party, not the bridal party. You can often find outfits for the younger kids at consignment shops. Kids formal wear is often worn once then outgrown. Also check Zulily.

I think it's still a little early. My DH has rented through Black Tux in the past but it was only like 3-4 months out not a full 8 months.

I dont think its too soon. i had to push FH to do his, lol!

we used mens warehouse because we have groomsmen scattered and my bridesman is in another state, and some live in more rural areas than others and it was the only common tux rental they could go to.

when i finally got FH to go book our stuff, the employees at MWH were insisting on getting all the guys in to get measured and put deposits down before New Year's and we were so confused, until they explained that our wedding is in the middle of prom season, so sooner is also better than later. while tux rentals dont "book up" necessarily, they definitely have heavier seasons. just something i learned that is to consider on when you should tell your FH/BP to get their stuff.

Thank you so much, everyone thinks I'm crazy for getting this set up but at the same time I want it done to allow the GM to pay their fees at their leisure and have another big item checked off our list of many. Plus August is a peak time for rentals apparently. All of our GM are in Vegas, so that makes it easier but with my BM's I chose David's Bridal bc I have 2 BM in NY.

Do you have any insight on kids, when they should be fitted. One of my FH cousins is claiming her son will grow substancially from January to August he's 14, I mean it's possible but idk if I should delay the RB, Usher and Jr. GM's fittings bc of this? Any thoughts?

You can sign up the children so the rental place knows but I was told to bring the kids a month before for fitting because they grow so fast.

I asked about this as well, and the tailor at the MWH we went to said treat him like a groomsman - He needs to come in just as quickly to ensure wedding party will all be dressed and ready efficiently. My ring bearer is my nephew who is 10.
That's what fittings are for, and if he adds some height that's what the fittings are for. They can change stuff as necessary at the store, so if he gets taller or goes up a pant size they will have ample time to change it.

So I posted regarding tux rentals last night and was torn between Jos A Bank & Men's Warehouse, which coincidently are owned by the same company and offer the same perks & prices. If you have 5 rentals the Groom can get a Free Tux Rental or a $400 Giftcard to use in store - Cost of the all-inclusive Rental $230 But if you sign up for their rewards program each GM saves $30; $200 this is from the Vera Wang collection. If you have 10 GM or rentals the Groom gets both a Free Tux Rental & a $400 Giftcard to use in store. Due to these discounts and the quality, we are booked!!

My fiancé got a suit from black tux for his friend’s wedding and the only thing that worries me about them is that it’s all online and the fit wasn’t exactly what we expected.

It is a distinct possibility that they will grow. If you get them fitted too early, you do run the risk of them outgrowing the tuxes. You have to decide if the relief of checking this item off is worth the potential stress and needed effort/money to get them refitted later on. Only you can decided what will be best for your planning mindset.

Not too early. I like to plan ahead too.
We went to a local place to buy suits (it didn’t work out) but they needed 6 months. It was going to be 175 to own the tuxedos compared to 300 to rent.

We are going with generation tux Smiley smile theybsend the groom a free at home try on suit. Great quality and exactly what we were looking for. Men’s warehouse didn’t have the color we wanted to rent. We rented a French blueSmiley smile

Too early for the kids. They will grow. It should be a month or so before for the wedding for them (just went over this with our tux guy). Everyone needs to gets measured in person. Amy tux place can rent suits as well. Support your local businesses!
