Suit rentals and groomsmen in different state

So far this forum has been so helpful! Thank you to anyone who takes the time to respond. I’m panicking over my fiancé’s suit and his one (groomsman), the best man. They live in two different states. The only two stores that have actual store fronts in both states are Mens Warehouse and Black Tux. Renting is the most cost effective. I want them to match in color and fabric especially being the only two in the bridal party groomsmen wise.
Issue: mens wharehouse doesn’t let you have the suit rental in time for us to drive from WA to our southern Ca wedding. We leave 5 days prior. So that knocks them out. The black tux has no appt to even look at suit color or get fitted until late June and I don’t love that the suits are 3 piece. I feel like if we aren’t doing a tux he needs a 3 piece. I don’t see other options.

I also feel I need to see suit color in person because my sister’s dress is a very particular blue and I’ll need the right Shade if navy.

Is there a Men’s Wearhouse near your wedding location? Your local store should be able to set up for him to pickup at any of their locations.

Hi Mattie There is. it’s just that we have to pick it up the Friday before our Monday wedding so if there is a fit issue or any problem it would be too late to fix it. That makes me nervous but it may have to be the option. Black tux online has a much more generous policy and gets it to you 10 days before.

Hi. Could you just buy the tux/suit? Sometimes you can find a really good quality suit on special and it might be cheaper than renting and you can buy two suits at the one time. When we bought my husband's suit they had a special on so we got two for a very good price and my brother wore one .

Hi Fiona: I’m thinking that may be the best option. I just hope i can find a good price by the time I add all the pieces together. Plus it would fit better as they could have it tailored. I’ll look at Men’s Wharehouse. The two men are very different in size so I imagined a more classic fit versus slim fit would work for the best man. I guess it would be ok for them to have different fit as long as it’s the same fabric and color shade. My fiancé would look best in slim fit. Thank you.

How about Jos A Bank? My brother-in-law got a nice tux on sale. You can also do a midnight blue tuxedo which is just as formal as black. Good luck.

We are using Jim's Formalwear which partners with local bridal shops so all of our out of state groomsmen just need to go get fitted. We have the option of them getting shipped to us or them in the week before the wedding, and they'll overnight new items if something doesn't fit correctly. They also had the option to rent or buy the same suit, which was nice because FH wanted to buy his but the guys don't have to. They also had a couple of different navy suits to choose from, which was super nice because we also were pretty specific in the color of the navy.

Jessi, thanks so much! I had no idea this store existed! I found a store here they partner with and one right near our bestman. I need to find out if we buy my fiancé’s suit here in Seattle, if the same style and fabric/color shade will be available to the best man in SoCal. Really, thanks so much for sharing!! Best to you.

Cant they call up the stores that they both live in and ask if you can send a pic of what the suit and color. So they can get fitted home and then also will be ready in time.
