Suit Recommendations

Aliyah, on August 13, 2025 at 6:28 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 2

Having a little trouble in the suit department. My fiancé has his heart set on have a double breasted suit vest but we have found that very challenging to find in our are. This would only be for him and not the groomsmen ( we are buy-ing him a custom while the rest are renting) No stores in our area have that style, even the custom made suit stores. I did find one place online to order from but that's the only option I'm finding. Is there any other places I am unaware of? Thank you!

You can try Men’s Wearhouse or a major stores like JCPenney, Bloomingdale or maybe Macy’s if you have them in your area. Good luck.

We went through something really similar while looking for a wedding suit. Most department stores were either limited in styles or the fit just wasn’t right, especially for something as important as a wedding. After trying a few places, we realized custom tailoring was honestly the better option.

If you’re in New York, you might want to check out a couple custom tailors. We looked at L&S Custom Tailors and also La Rukico Custom Suits Tailors. Both offer made-to-measure and fully custom suits, so you can pick your fabric, fit, and small details like lapels or vests. The overall look ends up way sharper and more comfortable compared to off-the-rack.

For weddings especially, custom just photographs better and feels more special. Definitely worth considering!
