Suit & dress colors

Can the groom/groomsmen and the bridesmaids all wear the same color? My bridesmaids just bought navy dresses, but now my groom wants to wear navy and not gray like we had planned. Thoughts?

I think it's fine but you will want some different colors for contrast, such as in the bridesmaids' bouquets, the men's ties or pocket squares. Can you think of a couple accent colors you'd like to use also?

Our flowers are blue/purple orchids and ivory roses. I guess they could do some kind of lighter pocket squares and ties?
I'm trying to convince him to still have groomsmen wear gray and he could just wear navy so it's not so overwhelming with dark blue..
