Suggestions on getting dry ice for first dance and 2 tv monitors

Erika, on June 7, 2018 at 4:34 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 12

I just found out that my package from the Pros Weddings which includes videographer, photographer and Dj don't offer these 2 services. And I am checking last minute quotes for it. Can anyone give me places or refer me to someone. The venue is at Flanders, NJ

Why do you need the two TV monitors?

I get the dry ice is a decorative thing, but I don't think that's necessary either! I'd save yourself the stress and just focus on what's important- you two!

Thank you Kristina. It is just for the first dance and that is what I taught too.

I agree. Plus, keep in mind that some people with asthma or breathing problems may be affected negatively by the dry ice effect. I can barely breathe when clubs use these.

That is what my vendor form the Pros said that some people may be allergic to it or have some kind of effect from it. That is why I am doubting to do it.

Allergies and asthma are not things you want to trigger in your guests.

Well, once I went to a wedding and it displayed what was going on the dance floor.

Maybe look for rental places nearby? They might have something for you

I was coming here to say this. My mom had COPD and was on oxygen. She would have been saying, with love: "Get me outta here!!"

Are people going to be so far away they can’t see you dance? Or is it because of the dry ice? Does our videographer offer “live streaming”?

to be honest, most people don’t pay attention that much to the first dances so I think you should save your money unless you REALLY want them

Theatre technician here. Dry ice leaves water on the floor - it will be slippery. And if it’s not dry ice (gaseous CO2) but low fog (chilled theatrical smoke) which hugs the ground in a similar way, it will leave a slippery glycol residue on the floor. Both are bad. Dry ice won’t trigger asthma or allergies (given that it’s carbon dioxide - you breathe it out!) but low fog can and does.
