Suggestions on a hardy Ivory flower

Lisa, on August 7, 2019 at 12:23 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 4
We are DIYing our flowers. I have burgundy roses, and blue thistle with herb greenery. I am stuck on an ivory flower that is hardy enough to hang on chairs. Any suggestions? I don't want to do another rose. Would stock or Yarrow be hardy enough to be tied on chairs for the ceremony? We are getting married in the fall outside in a garden type setting. So I want the flowers to look like I went to the garden and picked them. Thank you for your help!

I immediately thought of mums. Those would be a perfect fall flower and would like nice with the flowers you mentioned.

Hey Lisa! I love that you are doing your own flowers! Do you have any experience with flower arranging? The flowers that you have already chosen sounds beautiful! I love the look of blue thistle! It’s such an interesting looking flower and such a stunning color!!

I also think that chrysanthemums would look great with your selection!

Are burgundy and blue your wedding colors?

Thank you everyone for your input! Looking into it. Mums are a great choice! We are having a traditional Scottish wedding. Tartans have mostly blues and greens on them. Bridesmaids will wear black dresses. They will match the groomsmen who are wearing black vests with their kilt. We wanted thistle and we thought burgundy garden roses would be a nice contrast to the other colors. Thank you again!!
