Does anyone have any creative ideas on how to include a dog in a wedding ceremony? He's very good mannered and well trained, but an active, energetic boy and bigger dog (about 63 pounds), and does pull on leash a bit when excited. Winston will need to be on leash the whole time because we are getting married on a farm with livestock. Some have mentioned having him carry the rings, but we'd want a really secure and attractive way to attach them to him, and we haven't figured that out.

Suggestions?

I got a tux for my dog that had a ribbon on it to tie the rings. IF the groomsmen did it correctly it was secure as can be, but they did not and I forgot to give instructions on how to do it right, so my dog didn't even get to technically have the rings. You could get a little drawstring pouch for jewelry that can tie to his collar or harness! He for sure pulled and tugged down the aisle but then he was off in the front row with his favorite person, grandpop. He was really good. Wasn't fussy or noisy and he laid down also at one point. My other dog (she was just a pup) stood in the back with a friend and she was actually behaved too, no barking or whining!

I like the idea of fake rings. At the very least we could practice with him with fake rings before attempting to attach real ones. If the fake rings come detached in practice then we know its too risky to put the real ones on him for the ceremony.

I'm pretty confident we will be fine for the ceremony as long as we are thoughtful about how he is involved and have a backup plan in place in case. We definitely want him in a few photos, but I think having him there for the actual wedding is pretty important to us to.

They are ADORABLE. I'm pretty sure Winston will do exactly what your boy did. Who walked him down the aisle?

Grandpop. My husband’s dad did. Which worked out because we had his mom escorted by the best man!

Winston is the cutestttt! Smiley smile Love that you're incorporating your fur baby! We are too. I think I'm going to have my little (13 y/o) sister walk him down the aisle, while dropping rose petals. My Charlie is a 80 lb German Shepherd and isn't the best on the leash LOL so it should be entertaining. I also thought about having him in a cute dog tux with the rings in a box attached to it somehow.
