Successful cake tasting

Oh this is great!! We had our cake tasting today also. My groom also took over the tasting but the star of the show was our 5 year old. I'm glad your tasting was great.

I love Publix cakes! People underestimate how good they are! We used a baker who has made all of FH families cakes for generations (like all wedding/birthday/etc.) but if we didn’t go with her I definitely would have gone the Publix route also!

These guys of ours stealing the show. I didn't let me have much a word in, lol. But, he was so serious, I couldn't help but laugh. I'm glad your little one enjoyed the tasting too. I did for sure. She handed me the copy of our order to sign, since he was so involved I gave him the pen. Yay for cake tasting day!!

I think they really get underestimated. I always use Publix for their birthday cakes. But, I was very impressed with the service and how put together it was. And to get our 3 mini cakes, was a thumbs up!!

I have heard such great things about Publix cakes, but sadly have never lived anywhere that has Publix stores. I want to try one of these awesome cakes! Glad you had a great experience.

People underestimate grocery store cakes. I was included in that number, until we got our wedding cake from Mariano’s. It turned out amazing, and the price couldn’t be beat!!

Their cake prices are reasonable. We got a 3 tier and 3/4 sheet cake, with delivery and decor for the cake was 405.00 with tax. That was a winner for us. We are going to be using two stores. We are doing all the paperwork and payments here where I am. And when it's time, they will transfer all our information to the Publix where my FH lives. It will be made and delivered from there. So, both stores will get credit for our order. Which is great. Their are no obligations with their tasting. You get to take the mini cakes with you. So, yes it's free. I hope you will pleased just as much as we are. I think you will be!!! Good luck with it!!!

Oh ok. We are using Kroger for our flowers. I have a good friend that manages the floral dept at Kroger. I gave her everything I needed a few weekends ago. Good luck with your flowers!!! Their are so many ways to not break your pocket. I'm all for good service and good savings.

If you don't mind me asking, how far in advance from your wedding did you book your cake with Publix? Not sure how soon we need to do a tasting with them!

View Quoted Comment Wedding isn't until July, but you can book with them as ahead as you want. I think they say at least 4 weeks before, and they want it paid prior. But, I wanted to go ahead and have my paperwork done and know cost. So, I want it paid off soon. By that time, payment is done and will be ready to make.

Does Publix deliver and setup the cake for you? We have a tasting setup with them this weekend but delivery and setup is one of my concerns... just wasn't sure how they did that part!

View Quoted Comment They do deliver with a fee, depending on how far they have to go. They will set the cake up where it will be in the area. That was my impression.
