Subtle ways to incorporate firefighter theme?

Shelby, on June 26, 2016 at 5:22 PM Posted in Planning 0 11

I'm trying to find subtle ways to incorporate small fireman stuff into our wedding without making it completely fireman themed. So far I'm going to have a fireman themed garter but I want to find more small ways to incorporate fireman things. Thanks in advance Smiley smile

You could have a lil fireman emblem on a ribbon wrapped around your bouquet and the bridesmaid bouquet.

Cuff links, put the shield on trim, centerpieces, or favors, maybe small bells or dalmation spotted socks for the groomsmen...

We are doing the ring bearers pillow to look like a turnout jacket! I'm also getting a garter and we are doing a topper. And we are getting a firefighter axe to cut the cake!!

Your ceremony could definitely mention it.

My friend recently married a firefighter. She did a few different things such as:

    1) they cut their cake with an ax

    2) the groom's cake.. It had a bride on top and a firefighter on the ladder on the side (as if he was crawling up the cake to rescue her)

    3) she wore a firefighter garter

    4) when he took her garter off, he put his firefighter helmet on with the light on his hat (really cute shot)

    5) when they did some wedding photos, the placed the rings on top of his hat

My DH is a retired volunteer firefighter. My something borrowed was his badge. I pinned it to my dress. When he went for my garter he was very surprised.

My uncle is a volunteer firefighter and when he married my aunt they had a fire truck as the getaway vehicle. I was three years old and I still remember it.
