Subtle Nerdy Engagement Party Ideas

We are having an engagement party thrown for my FH and I by our parents and they know how big of fans we are of Star Wars, Game of Thrones, Marvel/DC and anything Disney or Broadway Musical related! They have asked us if we have any input on adding these to our party in some way but I'd prefer for it to all be super subtle and tasteful. Does anyone have any advice or ideas on how we can add these into our party and maybe even recycle them for our wedding day? The party will be an engagement pool party/BBQ, w/ a lot of rustic/bohemian/floral & greenery vibes to it. I'd really appreciate the help! Lol

I don’t know about your engagement party, but here’s some things I’m doing for my actual wedding. I also have Disney shoes and Christine daae earrings.

Hi Vanessa!! Welcome to WeddingWire!! My mom once threw my sister a Hunger Games themed party where she named all the foods after things/characters in the book. Could you do something like that at your party?
If you're having music play in the background, you can have it be from musicals or Disney movies or even the scores of SW/GOT/comics.

Incorporate the color schemes/patterns/insignias of the nerdy things into the decorations. Name the food, as suggested above. Have little games scattered about that tie into what you love. Make things space-themed, not just Star Wars. Have little tiny figurines peeping out behind food/furniture.
Scatter all your nerdy things around as decoration, wear your nerdy jewelry...

Ahh that's adorable!! We definitely will probably do the food idea! And background music is always an awesome idea as well, hopefully people won't get tired of all the musicals or Disney songs I engulf them in. LOL

We collect a LOT of POP figures! Because of this it gave us the idea of incorporating them some how. Thinking of buying little terrariums and putting them inside. I'll hopefully update this thread to let everyone if it works out. Haha!

Lol, if they're friends and family with you, I feel like if you don't engulf them in musicals and Disney, they'd be concerned.
