stuffing my corset- don't laugh!

Aronna, on September 14, 2013 at 11:11 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

Ok, I haven't seen this post before, and try not to laugh too hard but........

long story short, most of my life I was so busty that it wasn't even funny. I was a DDD , it was causing breathing problems, back issues, I won't even recite the whole list.

so. I got reduced. I don't regret it at all, it was totally needed.

so here's my problem now. I' going to be wearing a big ball gown and I feel all flat chested. I was a small C last I checked.

I've lost weight and for the first time in my life, I'm atually loosing it in the bust! this NEVER happened before!

I plan to loose more, I hope to loose another 30-50 by the time of the wedding. so if I get even smaller in the bust I"m going to be one small busted bride.

that and I am a big build wide shouldered plus size gal, so when you consider how I got used to looking I'm going to feel very flat.

so, here's what I want to do. my corset cups are big now, so it's either alter them or stuff them. I already tried those things cont

Cont that you use to push you up and I'm going to need more.

I've never had to stuff a bra before in my life, so other than putting padding in the corset, I don't really have ideas...........

I'm totally serious, other than feeling small in the bust if I get smaller that's going to mean I'll have to seriously alter the dress and I don't want to have to do that.

    anyone?

Im part of the itty bitty titty club so I know all about stuffing.....lol....try the cutlets, they give you that extra cleavage and have a natural feel so it wont be AS awkward.

I also lost weight in the bust and need to either get an amazing strapless super duper push up (34 C) is my size, OR Alterations. I am hoping to find the perfect push up. I can't imagine paying for alterations. do u have a budget to get the dress altered. I mean I lost 17 pounds so the dress its only slightly big but you wanna loose 30-50 more, I'd say you DEF need alterations

I'm making my own dress. I can make the bust to fit me, that's not a problem. but the corset I have that I want to work with, the cups are too big! I didn't buy it before the reduction, so it's not THAT bad, but too big.

I still could make the cups in the corset smaller too. it's just that my dress is going to be so big on the bottom, I want the appearance of just a bit more going on in the bust.

I'm going to add beading and things like that to the bust so there will be some balance there.

I'll cut and alter the dress to fit, I just wondered how far I could get with some padding.

I don't want to look DDD big like I used to be, just maybe a full C cup. I'm headed straight towards B& haven't been that small since I was 9! lol

Try Victorias Secret, they have a bra that "adds" 3 cup sizes, I tried it on and looked huge! Could be an option Smiley winking

I had to stuff my dress the first time I got married 15 years ago. Tube socks was what I used. LOL

It's all in the shape and padding of the bra, not in the actual size or shape of the real thing. Smiley winking If you have a corset in the dress already, go ahead and pick up the gel inserts, or "chicken cutlets," as they're commonly referred to. You can get them at Sally's beauty supply, as far as I know.

If your dress is less-structured, and you can wear a normal bra, I suggest going with a serious push-up, because the cutlets are uncomfortable if they're just hanging off your boobs.

I had a similar problem. My dress was made to measure. I tried it on 4 days before and it fit perfectly.. but due to the stress of the final week I lost about 6lbs and when the day arrived the dress was huge! I was having a panic attack when my photographer suggested sfuffing tissues inside my corset. Quick thinking and it worked.
