Stuffing invite envelopes

CassieM, on January 7, 2016 at 7:57 AM Posted in Planning 0 8

We are getting our invitations all set on Sunday we won't be mailing them tho until closer to the end of this month. I have a few awesome friends who have volunteered to help in exchange for lunch so I'm hoping we can create some kind of assembly line. Any one have suggestions for making sure we are all set and it goes smoothly?

I am super excited to send out the invitations! We did not do save the dates or an engagement party so this is the first piece of your wedding most of our guests will see!

If you're addressing them as well, make sure to include titles (Mr./Mrs./etc) on your list and have the list printed and separated if more than one person is addressing. Make an example and pre-set all the pieces out in an organized fashion. Don't forget to put stamps on RSVP envelopes!

Date twin. How many are you doing? I'm sending out the end of January and have been assembling several a day by myself. I have 75. I still don't know what I'm doing about addressing.

I suggest numbering your RSVP cards. Some people do it with an invisible ink pen, I just did it in the corner on the back with a regular pen. I kept an excel spreadsheet with the names and corresponding numbers.

It helped out a ton. I had a few people with illegible handwriting or people with the same name. Many couples in my family have the same last name so mr & mrs last name wasn't exactly helpful.

We are doing about 60. I have stamps for the rsvps def don't want to forget that. I think the idea to do a sample is a great idea! We have everyone on an excel sheet already and I have heard the numbering trick so I def want to remember to do that! We have labels made for the outer envelope but will be hand writing the inner envelope. We also have the " ___ out of ___ attending" ( not exact wording). So we need to be very organized with that.

I 2nd the RSVP numbering. I had a few that came back with blank names. I had the guest list on excel so it was not difficult to assign numbers and then add them on the back. I just used a normal pen.

Write on the envelopes before you stuff, don't write on anything that has stationary inside it.

We stamped all our RSVP envelopes, put the cards under the flaps with the reception card, put that on top of the invite and into the inner envelope then into the outer envelope which all had stamps put on them then sealed.
