I used a google drive excel to share ideas and thoughts with distance bridal party. It has a chat function, you can save and share links, work on it at the same time, and have different tabs per topic.

Other than that, scheduling time to talk to each other.

Split tasks between the two of you. There's no reason that everything has to fall on your shoulders. Make an Excel spreadsheet or Google doc that has your budget and tasks that need to be completed for the wedding, designate tasks for you, him, and things that need to be done together. This way you can each check things off as you go and it's easy to see what still needs to be completed.

My FH is in the military and goes away for weeks at a time during this whole process. I have taken a lot on myself, but he is (for the most part) available by phone to ask about decisions and his opinions.

One thing you guys can do is set aside an hour once or twice a week to discuss the wedding planning process. Throughout the week, you each can have specific tasks to complete, and during your calls you can update each other on the tasks and what can be done next.
