Stretching peep toes shoes

bina1015, on September 15, 2015 at 2:22 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

So many of you know my shoes struggles. I found a great pair that are wide and a very small heel but the peep toe section is tight. Do you have any advice on how to stretch it a little bit. I know of the water in zipper lock bags but am nervous because the fabric is satin and don't want to get any water marks on it. I'm trying to google the contraptions that would be good for stretching.

Return the shoes, you shouldn't have to stretch shoes, ever. It means they just dont fit you.

@m- i'm trying to see if they have similar pair that are closed toe. These are the only ones that don't hurt the balls of my feet just standing in them while at the alterations appointment.

Put on socks and put your feet in the shoe and then use a hair drier on them where they are tight. Works like a charm.

@e=mc2, thanks! I'm going to try that. They're just a little tight so that might work perfectly.

You can also take them to a cobbler to have them stretched. I bought a pair this weekend (changed my mind about the shoes I was going to wear) and even in a half size up they were slightly tight across the ball of my feet. The sales girl could tell I was in love with them so she recommended I take them to a cobbler. I dropped them off this morning and will pick them up on Friday. The guy has a machine that stretches them. He is charging me $15.

@hannah, wow thanks! I will look that up. I think it needs like 1/4 of an inch to be perfect
