Keep your guest list as low as possible. I would stick with immediate family and your closest friends only. For your budget, I would really consider doing an intimate ceremony then taking your guests out to a nice dinner. Many restaurants have rooms that you can rent out and you could still do most of the typical reception traditions like dancing and cake cutting.

We're doing a wedding for 125 guests with a max budget of $5000. We are DIYing pretty much everything, self catering, not doing the parts that don't interest us (no dj, no bouquet or garter tosses, simple ceremony in a park $50 fee includes prepping the site and a liquor permit, renting a building at the fairgrounds for the reception ($350 for 3 days vs $1500+ for a handful of hours). We have a lot of family and friends gifting us their services-cake, photography, videography, live music, sound equipment, officiant, some of the food...so far for everything we're paying for we're only at about a quarter of our budget.

I would have a very small guest list and take everyone out to dinner afterward! You can still get a pretty dress and a cake to cut even Smiley heart

Definitely keep the guest list small.

Tiny guest list for sure. I'd also recommend looking at Thumbtack for vendors, lot's of professionals who aren't large enough for advertising/attention but are still wonderful, professional people! And wedding recycling websites for discounted wedding stuff.

If you're in Savannah, GA, the garden in Forsyth is a wonderfully beautiful and cheap venue where you could host both a ceremony and reception!

Look into booking a private room at a restaurant. Keep the guest list to immediate family and maybe a couple good friends. Look at boutiques or FB resale groups for a dress. Have a friend or family member officiate (be sure to research the requirements in your area). Don’t skimp on a good photographer and some great flowers! Happy Planning!

Don't be afraid to borrow things from people so that you don't have to buy it yourself aha
