Stressing over little things

Paulette, on February 26, 2020 at 1:45 PM Posted in Planning 0 8

Good morning, afternoon, evening (depending where you are) Smiley smile

So...I am about to have a melt down. I know it's not necessary but warranted. Funds are low and payments still have to be made. People are not receiving invitations I mailed out 3 weeks ago. My daughter-in-law and son are separated and she's in the wedding!

Here's my issues:

1. My FH is oblivious to the tasks that need to be done and when I tell him, he turns into a groomzilla!

2. I don't have extra invitations to mail out or even hand deliver. What are my options? (I guess I could order more and hand deliver them) They were designed and made by my cousin.

3. My daughter-in-law's family planned a baby shower for her sister on the same day. So she said she's going to leave during the reception. (I believe they did this on purpose to spite my son) God forgive me if that's not true.

Her step mom was the person who was my day coordinator so I guess I'll have to find someone else. (Have someone in mind already.)

I really do have a support system but I said all this to vent and would like your thoughts?

Can you email them an invitation?
As for the situation of the daughter in law .. yikes ! But you know what if she leaves after all her duties to your wedding are done then so be it, it’s fine.

I am so sorry to hear all this is happening to you Smiley sad The biggest thing to me is your invitations, that seems like something that you have the most control over. I would gather contact info for the people that you're inviting and spread it out between your wedding party/people who have volunteered to help out, and have everyone reach out to phone numbers/Facebook profiles/ or emails, letting people know that the invitations aren't getting delivered for some reason, and provide all the information that was on your invitations initially. I'm glad that you have a replacement in mind for day of coordinator!

Thank you Chantal! I said I would give it one more week because the RSVP deadline is the 14th of March. That is when I will reach out and call those who haven't responded so I can get their response. All I have been doing lately is deep breathing. It's driving me crazy!Smiley cry Smiley ups

That is a thought! Thank you Melle!!! My daughter in law said she will be there for at least an hour after the ceremony but I just found out that her family has the time set for 5:30 (same time as my wedding) but doesn't even have a venue yet. Which leaves me to believe that this is on purpose but it's okay. My day will be beautiful and it just means they weren't meant to be there.
