I haven't had my wedding yet (though it's finally coming up this summer!), but my top two most stressful moments in wedding planning so far have been dress shopping and figuring out flowers. I haven't gotten to the seating chart yet, but I'm hoping it goes smoothly. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Seating chart was definitely one of them especially when there would be constant changes in guest list

Getting my dress altered. Our seamstress does not have posted store hours or a phone number but her prices can't be beat and she does great work. Right after New Years there were 3 weeks where every Sunday or Monday it snowed and every time I went by her shop they were either out of power or she was closed. It delayed my alterations getting started by a month but luckily she got it done on time and it came out right!

There was another big one for me the day before the wedding: picking up the cake and getting it to the venue (30 min drive from the bakery). I was so stressed that I didn't trust anyone else to get it there safely. I had actual nightmares about it being dropped or someone slamming on the brakes while driving it over and the cake splatting onto the side of the box. It was the one big task I did not delegate and I had an adrenaline crash after i got it safely into the fridge at the venue because I was so relieved 🤣

Mine has been getting our engagement pictures scheduled. I really wanted to do them in the library of the school we were in when we met, but there was SO much back and forth with the school (events on a weekend we were free, not being open certain hours in the summer, etc) and then having to run it all by our photographer to see if they could make things work. We finally gave up on the idea and picked a different spot. Naturally 2 days before we were scheduled, the school came back and said they had availability 🤦‍♀️

Honestly booking my vendors was the most stressful part. I’ve done a lot of pre planning and I have 5 months left so I’m not worried about much moving forward. Only worried about moving of my apartment a week before my wedding lol

Seating chart for sure, a week out we told our families we were printing it and if anything changes then they will need to tell those changes where to sit because we weren't printing a new one. Haha

Other than that family stuff, but hopefully you won't have any of that.
And day of our dance floor got installed without borders which was an extreme hazard and it needed to be dismantled before guests came to the reception so our cocktail hour had to be extended. Super annoying.

Omg yes. Sounds like one of those if it could go wrong it did moments. Haha but for sure trying to get everyone to rsvp I had to redo our seating chart three times it’s super annoying, aside from that we were having problems with our venue.

The seating chart. I have changed it 15 times. I have found there is a level of strategy needed to place guest in the right seats with the right people. I took it very seriously but finalized yesterday as we are 29 days away. The other stressful part are the checks we are writing. We finally wrote our last one yesterday.

Congratulations to you as well! The flowers I let him decide because I’m not a big flower person. But I can definitely feel you on the dress shopping , I picked my dress out like two years ago and since then I’ve lost weight then gained weight so I’ve been getting alterations done and I went to go get it yesterday.

Hi Cathy. I ordered place cards from Magnet Street. They were very reasonable. I will write names and table numbers on them and put on metal stands I bought from Etsy. Stressful Moments 1Stressful Moments 2

Booking our venue, my first alterations appointment and figuring out day of logistics. Also, one wedding party member on my fiancé's side has been difficult with getting their attire.

Luckily our seating chart was actually very easy. Fingers crossed we don't get too many declines where we have to rearrange everything.

Hands down the seating chart! I lost count of how many times I redid the thing. The worst part - on the day of an entire table didn’t show up so we had one empty table in the front of the reception hall. They all had separate kid issues (stomach bug, pink eye, etc) but it sure was frustrating to put that much thought into it and have it not go according to plan.
