So Jamaica is currently on a stand still with the covid-19 going around. Idk wat I’m gonna do all my planning have to be put on hold now and the venue I booked closed and they don’t know when their gonna reopen and might have to be refunded, bare in mind my wedding is supposed to be in August 😩 I’m about to lose my mind, I get headaches thinking about all this 😭

You still have some time until August. So try to relax a bit since we don’t know how things will be at that time. Brides with March, April and May dates obviously have much more to be concerned about right now. HOWEVER..... Instead of being stressed, be proactive and have a Plan B option in mind so that you aren’t scrambling at the last minute. Our wedding is scheduled for October and we have both a Plan B and a Plan C backup ideas.

The impact of lost revenue will be crushing for countries that depend almost 100 percent on tourism. They are probably being super honest about possibly not being able to reopen. I agree with pp: get a game plan going. It will help you to focus on solutions and not the panic associated with the problem (which is completely beyond anyone’s control). We had to cancel our 4/18 wedding in Puerto Rico. Once we knew we would get our deposit back we started researching alternatives. For us the best decision will be to get married locally - neither of us wants to risk another DW. We got credits for all our flights so we may plan a group trip later in the year. Sending you good vibes!

August is still a while off. I would wait until June to make a decision to cancel completely. How much time do you have until you have to cancel before you're unable to get a refund?
