Our wedding is in September and we still owe a lot of money .. We don’t have any help paying for the wedding other then the rehearsal dinner (which we are very very thankful for) his parents are amazing !! We are doing ok money wise but MAN this wedding is going to be about 25k + once everything is paid.. Not to mention I’m a bridesmaid in my sisters wedding and we have to buy our 3 girls dresses since they are flower girls .. then I’m getting married September 17 then his sister is getting married October 2nd and I’m also a bridesmaid in her wedding and our girls will also be flower girls in there wedding 😳😳 I’m stressed to the damn max 😢😢😢😢

There are **** ways to save money. For instance: if you're haveing bridesmaids/bridesmen let them pick their own attire and let the girls decide how to do their hair and make up so they will pay for those, because if you dictate anything about these, you'll have to pay for them by yourself.

if you're offering alcohol:do beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks but forget liquor, nix champagne for toasts/speeches (wine is enough) avoid expensive food items such as salmon, seafood etc... If you don't care much about your attire: buy a simple dress rather than a dramatic one or even a less expensive stuff like a skirt suit or pantsuit, limit flowers to your bouquet and groom's boutoniere or nix them altogether in favor fake flowers or even nothing at all ( flowers DON'T make a marriage valid or illegal LOL), skip favors, if you're having dancing after the meal: do a DJ rather than a band since you're only paying for 1 people vs paying for 4-5 or more.
As for photography, hire one who offers an hourly rate rather than a flat rate and if you don't care about getting ready photos and/or party photos (guests dancing and everything that is done when the dance floor is open) , you will pay less. But of course: The #1 way to save money is by NOT inviting anyone you and your fiance don't want there and those you wouldn't miss if they RSVP "no". such as those that your parents could request such as their coworkers or the friends of theirs you've never/barely met or don't see on the regular as well as extended family members you haven't seen in years and those that has NEVER met you or your fiance, skip +1 for those who are single and if they know some of the other guests.
If you want other ideas, just ask 😀.

We are getting married in 5 months so we already half of the stuff paid off .. my dress is paid off and the florist was 1600 which wasn’t terrible.. it’s not so much that we are stressed about money but I guess we are stressed about how many things we still need done in a short amount of time 😫

We have the same date as you and after covid our venue changed their policy, so they only allowed us to pay the $2000 deposit and we're not able to make any payments until the final payment 3 weeks before. So we are SUPER STRESSED about that payment because we'll have to make sure we have almost $30000 in our wedding fund to pay it. I honestly don't even know how we go about paying that amount lol do we write a check, do we have to get a cashier's check from the bank? Idk but I feel you on all the stress in these next five months.

For the girls' dresses, you may find Easter sales in department stores or non-matching, but coordinating color dresses. Ask the brides if they can be more flexible. Certainly if they want a specific dress, let them know asap if that is not something you can afford as you have to buy 3. You have your own wedding to pay for, I hope they are accommodating. Honestly, I wish they could wear the same dresses for both weddings because I doubt they'd wear them again (just like your bridesmaid dresses).

    Best wishes!

Wow! I'd say go with a cashier's check. That way you know your venue will accept it and that it won't bounce.
