Stress

Brittany, on August 1, 2020 at 5:50 PM Posted in Planning 0 11
How does everyone deal with wedding stress? I get married in like 11 days. I’m not stressed about something going wrong or anything like that. But, I’ve never been to a wedding in my entire life so I’m worried that I’ll forget things or won’t know what to do, even common sense things. Just because I’ve never been to an actual wedding.

100% do something self care for yourself. Weeks before the wedding I went to get a massage because I just wanted to do something non wedding related.

Also if you’re worried you’ll forget, make a list and check it with everything to see if you’ve gotten and done everything you needed

I’m not worried about forgetting something, just straight up not knowing. Like what to do next. Even though I know the general flows of events, I have my timeline. I just don’t know some things that probably would be common sense to others. Like once something happens do I just randomly walk off into the next thing. Like for example, after my first dance we’re supposed to go greet everyone. Do I just walk off and start talking to people after?? It’s just so many of these little things that stress me the most! Lol

Find relaxing things to do to calm you and make a list and check it thrice. You’ll be fine, I promise

Try to come up with a time line that way you can know what’s going on next ,
You can designate someone that day to help you stick to it. Mine isn’t completely done but here’s an idea Stress 1

I have a coordinator that already made a timeline. It’s not the big events that I’m worried about, it’s super little things. Like do I walk off at a certain time? Do I stand there awkwardly? Will someone announce it. What do I do with my hands etc. I have to know EVERY little detail or it stresses me out bc I don’t know what you’re usually supposed to do (I’ve never been to a wedding) lol

Oh I gotcha , the coordinator or the person who will be preforming the ceremony will tell you what to do how to stand when to walk all that during ur rehearsal

Are there any videos of weddings on YouTube or online you can watch to get a general idea of what it will be like? Also, assuming you are having a rehearsal, you can practice until you feel comfortable!
