Stress Dreams!

My venue double booked and I didn’t know till we both showed up that morning to decorate!

Omg I had the same dream last night! I was sitting at the dining table in my childhood home in my dress with my immediate family and with a table full of signature cocktails to one side, and they were like, "I can't believe no one RSVP'd or showed up!" And I was like, "Oh yeah, I never ended up sending out any invitations." I don't think my fiancé was even there 😂.

Omg these are my FAVORITE. I've had a bunch lately but the following is by far my favorite:

It was my wedding day and I was on the way to the bridal suite at the venue to get ready. When I got there, I realized I forgot a piece of jewelry, so some random teenage boy offered to drive me back to my house to get it and off we went. When I got back, all of my girls were ready but they were wearing powder blue dresses instead of burgundy. My matron of honor was mad because hers was silk and everyone else's was chiffon, so she stuck out a lot and didn't want to. Then one of my friends named Laura came walking out in a bridesmaid dress...but not my friend Laura who is actually in the wedding, a different Laura. So I just went along with that and continued on inside to get my hair and makeup done, but they had already left/were leaving. I asked where they were going and they said they finished up so too bad and I was yelling but I'm the bride! So I did my own hair and makeup, then realized I also forgot my shoes and had to walk down the aisle barefoot. I woke up laughing because I know NONE of that even has a possibility of happening because I'm getting ready at my mom's house, everything is already there, and my girls already have their dresses or they are arriving this week.

I dreamt that none of my dresses fit and I to wear a white table clothes toga style.

Omg I had one that I’m the only one who showed up on time none of the decorations were done hair and makeup didn’t show fiancé was missing for hours then when the guest showed I was still putting decorations up in my dress. I was so upset I married myself lol.

I dreamed of arriving at the church completely naked🤯

Oh man, I had a dream that my fiancé and I booked two dates just in case, and on the first day nothing was ready but his tux, but he was dead set on still getting married. We went back and forth about how only his tux is ready and I don't have a dress but he wanted to and said he didn't care as long as he got to marry me... so I walked down the aisle in a giant sweatshirt and sweatpants 😂

Hahaha these are so good. I am certain I'll get one of the "never even sent my invitations" ones soon.

I dreamt that I'd forgotten to hire everyone but my venue and so the week of we were scrambling to figure out food, photography, and a DJ, but I hadn't saved anything to actually hire people.

It hasn't been as bad since, but there has been some 'I forgot to buy a dress! Now what do I do!?' because I've been in love with one particular dress and I'm hoping to be able to get something similar made because the original one was way out of budget lol.

My FH actually just had one where week of the wedding we had gotten his mom moved down and I decided to leave him and go to a different town to start over and was all 'oh, no hard feelings!'.

I have a recurring one where our photographer backs out just before the wedding.

The worst part about that is I can DEFINITELY see it happening in real life. We are using a national company that my older sister used (they contract with local photographers), and our first photographer we picked they told us a week later was double booked and we had to pick again. Then a month after we picked the second one, they told us she wasn't available on our date anymore due to personal reasons (I assume she is pregnant based on the timing haha). SO, we were left with our current photographer. Don't get me wrong, they all have similar styles, so it's not like we disliked her work. Well, we had a skype call with her a few months ago, and she was fighting against everything I said--she thinks our timing is off, she doesn't want to stay to the end of our reception and do the sparkler exit (and suggested we create a "fake" sparkler exit with our bridal party an hour before the actual exit), she doesn't think we'll have enough time to do any photos, she doesn't like taking pictures of people dancing for 3+ hours, etc. etc etc. I emailed the company and said that I was concerned it wasn't going to work, and received a "it'll be fine, we're professionals" email in return. So, yea. I stress about that in dream-world and real life ALL THE TIME.
