Stress acne less than a month before the wedding! Help!

Rachel, on September 17, 2016 at 8:19 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 9

Im breaking out horribly because of stress. Stress from the wedding, family issues and because two of my bridesmaids are going through rough spots in their lives and its making me feel anxious because every time I try to help them they say they dont need help. Anyway, my question is: has anyone (around 30) dealt with stress acne? What products have you used that helped? Im going to try to drink more water and eat more veggies but im wondering what I can do from the outside to help? Ive heard theres a good neutrogena moisturizer thats light weight. Any other suggestions? This acne is making me even more stressed...Thanks!

ETA: I have very oily combo skin. Around my nose is very dry and flakes. The rest of my skin is super oily. Also I haven't worn any make up for the past 3 months in an effort to let my skin rest before the wedding.

Changing your diet is nice but your best bet would be to seek out a dermatologist because acne is also triggered from a hormonal imbalance (i.e. Stress )!! You should not go and experiment with facial products on your own now and you are a month out before your big day ! Please seek out a professional, they normally have quick fixes. I know , I experienced stress pimples too!

I know I already have a hormonal imbalance because I have PCOS...I don't think my insurance covers dermatology and I can't afford it out of pocket...I don't have sensitive skin so I'm not super worried about trying new products. The worst that could happen is they don't work.

My dermatologist sells a line of acne products that I LOVE. I get stress breakouts too and it works wonders for me.

I don't really have breakouts that much unless it's that time of the month and when I do breakout I get the dark spots on my skin. For the past 6 months I've been using products from urbanskinrx.com amazing products. Since using it i don't even get breakouts during my cycle anymore and my blemishes have faded. Products are expensive but worth the cost to me. Check out the site. They also have an Instagram page if you want to see some before and after pics.

Usually a primary care doctor will also prescribe prescription acne treatment. If not, try OTC benzoyl peroxide products. And worse case scenario, even if you do break out, wedding make up will cover it all up!

This will clear my skin up almost completely in a week. I have anxiety so my breakouts are almost always stress related. I use it at least once a day (before bed) and if the breakouts are bad I use it twice a day. You can buy it at Walmart or anywhere. I'm not sure on price but it is less that $10 for sure. I also bought an OTC benzoyl peroxide cream/gel to put on bumps that just randomly come up. If your nose gets dry then I would use a moisturizer too. Cetaphil has a great one and it is what my dermatologist recommends for anyone! Smiley smile

I have used the neutrogena oil free moisturizer for years. I also use clean and clear persa gel 10 spot treatment. It's a high concentrated benzoyl peroxide treatment as other people mentioned.
