strapless drress big bust

MrsBraddock, on September 9, 2009 at 5:43 PM Posted in Planning 0 25

Ok ladies my dress is in!! I am going to pick it up in a few more weeks I told her, I am determined to lose a few more pounds and inches thanks to Jillian Michaels. Anyway I need to buy undergarments for my dress. I have a 36dd chest- my MoH told me to not even bother with a bra- but I sleep with one every night, thats how much i hate to not wear one.

anyone have expierence in this department, on what to buy- and if you have a recommendation for a waist cincher or something like that

thanks

Oh girl I am the same size. I tried prolly 20 bras, ordering and returning things. The one that I ended up with is freakin AWESOME, and reasonable. Best part, it doesnt slide down since it is also a waist cincher. LOVE it.

Corset!!! It is your friend. And I am not talking about a body shaper. I am talking about a lace up corset. You can buy them on Ebay for like $20 plus shipping. When you get it in you will need to re-lace it because they don't lace them properly but here is a link on how to lace a corset.

Hmmm..I have a large chest also, And I just bought a really comfortable convertable bra, in the case I need to criss cross, or what ever, my suggestion is to go to a bra boutique, not a la senza or victorias secret, a real place that sells bras! You will get a professional fitting to determine your size and then you can try on various styles of bras to find out which one works best for you

You may be able to have cups and boning sewn into the dress. Otherwise, Frederick's of Hollywood has great corsets.

As a card carrying member of the IBTC (itty bitty titty committee) I can't offer advice on a good bra for a larger chest. I liked the one I tried on at Alfred Angelo but both my BMs are larger chested (38 D) and they hated them!

I think most department stores have a variety of slimming garments. I'd go and try several on and see what you like, then check out online for the best deal!

LOL well the only thing good about me gaining 50 lbs was that I finally got into a B cup! Ha!

Konichiwa , I love it!! Never heard that phrase before, but I'm right there with you, too! I had to have the cups sewn into my gown in addition to the corset I bought. At least I didn't have to have my dress taken in - that would have cost me a small fortune!!

LOL looks like the ITBC has a new member! Ya Future Mrs. Han! ha ha! And I'll probably have to have my dress taken in because I had to buy a bigger size so that the bottom of the dress flowed right over my badonkadonk. I may be in the ITBC but I gots me some junk in the trunk! LOL.

LOL Konichiwa that is so me. My FH says his favorite feature on me is my Ghetto Booty. lol. I also had to have the cups sewn into my dress, plus I had the have it taken in. I am also wearing a corset but that does NOTHING for the boob situation. It just makes my stomach around the same width as my boobs. lol.

I am with Analy and Mrs. Braddock. Thanks so much for this post!

What is the best strapless bra offering support for the girls but not adding any padding to the bust area. I want them uplifted but not protruding. I usually wear underwire minimizers......

And something that would suck in the lower tummy area? Like spanx? Have you tried? And what are your thoughts. Thanks so much!

I am a G yes G not a typo and I am going braless with my strapless. Honestly once you get past a D cup strapless bras just don't work! I don't care if it is corset or not it's not doing anything that your dress (which should have a built in corset if it is strapless even if it isn't a corset back) won't do for you.

JJ- this is a longline bra, so it actually covers that area below!! I was worried about that too. This does not have a lot of padding, but has GREAT support. I too am partial to my minimizers LOL spanx are crap IMO. Tried several, they r just expensive panties. Boooooo

I hope this helps, I tried literally evvvvverything, even corsets.

For those that have tried corsets please realize that most corsets that you get in a store are not designed to be tightened. If you re-lace it with the link I provided earlier it will give you the ability to tighten and strengthen the support the corset gives you.

Vegas- I bought an expensive french corset and laced it correctly. The problem is, when you have big boobs (excuse me for this phrasing) a corset sorta pushes them up and makes them look like a butt. sorry idk how else to say it! It looks terrible. Think bar maid. Personally, I like something to lift and separate, not to b graphic.

Corsets work wonders, and are sexy though! I kept it for the honeymoon Smiley winkinghahaha

Konichwa i'd rather the junk in the trunk then a D cup, give me a nice perky B, small C and take the extra to the donk! LOL Mrs. Braddock your best bet is take a day if you have the time and go to several stores to try on all styles, wear comfy shoes and take your time.

Analy I can see what you are saying. I don't really have that issue as I am an A cup myself. Like I said my big boob experience comes from my baby sister. Personally I need a lift and smash effect.

I am one of those people that gains weight in the boobs and booty first and looses there last. I look like I am a much bigger girl because of my proportions but my honey likes it so we are all good Smiley winking

Any Idea where to get a pretty functional bra for under a strapless dress. The "man" who desigend them never had to deal with them only on how they come off. For larger busted women and smaller busted women. Just be thankful for what you have, some had to have theres removed due to breast cancer and other medical infractions. I am happy with my 38C cup.
