Strapless Dress Question

Mickala, on October 13, 2019 at 8:09 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 5
Is it normal for a strapless dress to be quite snug? My dress zips and everything and feels fine but wondering if I need to diet hard before the day...

Yeah, it needs to be snug to stay up.

That's what I was thinking but not a real confidence booster when there needs to be 2 people to zip it up lol

Mine is strapless, when i went in for alterations in midaugust the dress fit very well and i only needed it to be hemmed and a bustle added to it... i then started dieting bc i wasnt completely happy with how it looked from the front. Between dieting and weightloss due to a ton of stress, i now am stuck trying to figure out how to keep it up comfortably between now and Saturday. It's a corset back and even when it's laced as tight as possible, it feels like it's falling. It's not inappropriate at all, but more just uncomfortable.

I guess what im trying to say is, you definitely want it to be a bit snug to stay in place and IF you choose to lose some weight, make sure you are trying on your dress along the way so you don't lose too much.

Leave it. That thing should be like a second skin. Lifting ya arms, hugging pll, dancing, sweating it will get looser. But you won't want it to. Once it starts slipping you'll be pulling it up all night.

Completely second this. As long as you can eat, breathe, dance and sit, keep it as tight as possible. If you want some more room in the stomach area that's one thing, but it should be snug on top.

And hey, the dress zips. That's all that matters. Just try to stay the same size (easier said than done, I know)
