strapless bra for DD cup and up?

chanel, on May 10, 2017 at 4:48 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 22

I am hoping to lose more weight, but I am currently at a 44 DD. I have never had luck with bras for every day like, and now searching for one that is strapless and doesnt move around, and keeps the girls where they need to be seems impossible. I have read that some women use the boobie tape to lift and then another thing of double sided to the strapless to keep them secure. The dress is a strapless sweetheart. I need as much stability and support as possible.

Oh also, I got a corset bra (goes over my tummy too) from David's bridal and we couldn't get it to stop showing when I would move so they just sewed the whole thing into the dress!

I'm in the same boat! I wanted to stay away from corset since I have a lace dress and didn't want the bulge to show through. I tried a strapless from VS and just returned it since it didn't work. So it's back to having a corset ordered through the bridal salon. At least you get the support you need from a corset, IMO.

I had cups sewn into my dress, with my corset back dress it keeps everything in place.

I'd recommend talking to your bridal consultant about options like corset and bustier where you get under bust support instead of support from straps. Also, as for the every day bra issues, a lot of people never really wear the right size. I'm weird, I have a lot of friends take me bra shopping with them. Go into a lane bryant or a victoria secret or a Macy's and get fitted, a good bra fit is so very crucial. It should be flush between your breasts and I always test by leaning over and swinging from side to side to try and force the girls out. My bras tend to be expensive and I look at them as investments. I've been looking weight (30 pounds since January) and I have been putting off buying a new bra but I know I need to because my straps keep slipping, and my back strap slides up, I keep getting mono boob, and gaps in my cups. If you have any of these issues you have a poorly fit bra.

AdoreMe and Bare Necessities are the two places I buy bras from and they all hold me in place pretty well - definitely look into them. Bare Necessities has more selection but AdoreMe is cheaper.

36DDD here. I'm biting the bullet and buying the recommend bra from the bridal shop. It's a longline strapless bra. I've spent way too many high school dances trying to hike up my boobs in a strapless bra. The bustier style is comfy and I won't futz with it all night. $89 but my comfort is worth it.

I'm a 34G(DDD) and have always gotten my bras, both everyday and strapless for the wedding, from HerRoom.com. Love the way they fit.

I'm going to get mine from DB. They had me put one on when I went dress shopping and I like how it held me in everywhere.

I'm DDD. I actually had an in-built corset added to my dress since it is strapless. I hope the girls hold! Smiley smile

I got a long line bra from DB for my strapless dress. But like any other strapless bra I've tried...my girls end up looking like cat eyes? I think I saw some suggest order the bra one size up; but cup one size down?!?

I am a 34E/F and I am wearing an actual corset top from BHLDN as my dress to. I had to buy it a few sizes too large for my rib-cage and I am having it tailored to fit my waist so that the girls stay in place. Meanwhile I wear a lot of Simone Perele bras in my every day life including their general strapless bras for my every day dresses that have super thin straps or are strapless. Several of their styles go up to 44. Regardless, Her Room has the best selection online of all brands for bustier ladies that I have found. Here is a selection of their strapless options: https://www.herroom.com/strapless,bras,51,001,10.html
