Stranger Purchase from Registry

That's so weird. I was kind of thinking they wanted to remain anonymous but the item isn't being shipped to you? Does it say where it's being shipped to?

That is weird and creepy! Hope Amazon can shed some light on the situation.

That's so weird! Are you on the WW virtual registry? That's the only thing I could think of if it was a user's name lol

I was also thinking of the WW registry! Did you add your info there?

I am not on the WW virtual registry. It's also not possible that someone purchased it on someone else's behalf since this address is in Southern California and we don't have anyone invited from Southern California. We're in NY. We did invite 2 people from California but they are in Oakland which is many hours away from where it was ordered. My shower invites haven't even gone out yet but we do have a wedding website (not WW) with our registry link. I'm not concerned that someone purchased something from the registry, but I am concerned that the purchaser name does not match the purchaser address and that somehow this might be a scam to access my information. Calling Amazon once I get to work.

Maybe they don't want you knowing who bought it to keep it a surprise? So they put a fake name.

I wouldn't stress about it. You'll either get it or you won't if it was mistakenly bought off your registry by a stranger

@first - I still stand by what I say. If your registry is searchable thru google then someone you know might have done that. Or someone accidentally bought off your registry when they meant to buy something off of someone else's.

If your concerned about internet security then you should lock your registry through password protection if your site allows it or remove your address

There was once a girl on here who searched through random registries and bought a random person (not from WW) something. Came on here to get a pat on the back for it and was told by most that it was creepy af. People can be so weird.
