Stop with the phone calls already!!

IrishLove™, on July 13, 2013 at 5:52 PM Posted in Planning 0 19

In October, I went to visit my grandmother who wasn't doing very well, and went to DB down in her area to try on dress and get her opinion (it's a good thing I did so at least she could have seen me in a wedding dress) when we walked in the store I told them that I wasn't buying today and explained why I was there.

Well about a month ago I got a phone call from that area code (it's another state) and I let it go to VM well they called back the following week, and I explained that I live 4.5 hours from there and that I had already purchased my dress but thanks for calling. So the same lady just called to see if my BM would like to come in and order their dresses and take off in store sale going on with their particular store or accessories. AGAIN I explained that I do no live in the area and I was only there that one time. And that I wouldn't be coming back. I get that they call people to get people to come in but seriously...

That's so annoying. I hate it when salespeople don't take no for an answer. I understand it's their job, but still. Sometimes no really means no.

I live literally right next door to a DB and i got my dress, veil and shoes from there already. They keep calling me to go in and pick shoes. Then to pick BM dresses, then for a veil.

I ALREADY BOUGHT THESE THINGS WITH YOU! I straight told the girl after the 20th call, that i've already told the other girls who've called that i'm not getting BM dresses at a bridal store and everything else i already bought there. Then i told her you should either make a note or just put me down to not call me anymore because its wasting my time for things that have already been done.

I'm pretty sure its law that if you request for a business to no longer call you they have to discontinue the calls.

I mean I would understand if it was a few months in between but it has legit been 3 weeks today that I JUST told them.

And the sad part is my DB doesn't even call me.

I think there's a way to get them to stop calling you--I had to do that because Men's Wearhouse was calling me ALL THE TIME. haven't had that issue with DB though, and we've ordered from ones in at least 3 states..

I used to be in phone sales. It is illegal to keep calling if the customer says to stop calling back, especially when citing harassment, etc.

I tried dresses on at my local DB, and when I registered online for the apt, I checked the box that I didn't want to be contacted by their preferred partners/vendors. Regardless they've been giving my phone number and email out--when I'm contacted they refer to DB so I know it's them and not from somewhere else.

I called the store the other day to complain. They confirmed that I'm not supposed to be contacted and they didn't understand why it's happening (yeah, right--because you don't give a crap!). But the store itself hasn't contacted me...

I think I am going to call the store Monday, and speak to someone who gets it that I am 4.5 hours away and in a different state, and I have already made my purchases.

The 1st phone call ok, the 2nd was like well must be they really wanted to talk to you in person, but seriously this is the same betch each time... this time I just said ok thanks have a nice weekend. and hung up.

DBs customer service sucks! That's why I didn't go threw them for my dress or anything, they did the same thing to me for a bridesmaid dress

LOL the DB where I tried on wedding dresses for first time do the same thing to me. I ended up buying my dress from a little wedding boutique and not DB but they won't stop calling. I just used my phone warrior app which blocks the calls but not the voicemails. Smiley sad But everynow and then I still get a call. I told them 3 months ago I bought my dress. Soo annoying LOL

I am suprised the DB where you got your dress doesn't call you. probably because they already got their sales from you and you bought a dress.

I went to try on a dress there and made some follow up appointments. Ended up finding my dress somewhere else. They called to confirm appointments, and I cancelled them right then. The day of what would have been the appointment, I get a call about missing my appointment. Sounds like DB needs a better scheduling system!

Hah I went there as well at first. They called again after I already bought a dress. The person on the phone said her name is Erica. I told her that was my name too. I continued to tell her that I already had a dress. She said she would let my consultant know and asked for my name again.

First of all, you called me. Second WE HAVE THE SAME NAME.

Weird, I've never gotten a call from them except to confirm my appointment to look at BM dresses.

They've been massively helpful, even exchanging a pair of shoes for free for my MOH when the ones she bought that said "dyeable" right on them turned out to be not so much.

Hmmm, once I had told mine that I moved they stopped calling. It's crazy how different each store is!
