Sticky Bras

Jacqueline, on July 1, 2020 at 10:44 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7
Where is the best place to find sticky bras? My daughter is in our wedding and she is much to large to have push up sewn into her gown. Thoughts on sticky bras, where to purchase AND do they work and are they comfortable? Hate to see a malfunction out on the dance floor. Thanks ladies!!!!

I have a sticky bra I love. It’s called D’eva Lite, I got it somewhere random at the mall. It keeps things the right shape and I don’t have to worry about bra straps showing. It’s never fallen off. But it also makes me sweat more and offers zero support.

Daughter is a 36DD and she tried every sticky bra she could find and none of them worked for her.... However, her seamstress was able to get the built in structure of her dress to work perfectly for her. It took sewing in two sets of cups: one "push-up" set below her natural bustline and a smaller pair just above her chest on the top inner-edge of the bodice. Once everything was in place, she was pretty well "locked and loaded" for the 12 hrs she was in her dress. As a DD the LAST thing she expected was using push-up cups, but it was a miracle. Good luck!

I've used sticky bras and while it was great, as Mrs. S noted it was definitely a lot more sweaty - not to divulge too much information but to this day my FH and I ROFL about me removing the sticky bra. Let's just say those sticky bras "pool" a lot of sweat. But it held in place great, while we didn't dance, I used it to help my FH move, so there was a lot of lifting, bending, etc. (It was never planned that way).

May I ask what your daughter's cup size is? Adhesive bras generally don't work for anyone a D cup and above. I would say that they're very uncomfortable for C cups and above, but for D cups and above they're generally not a good idea to begin with

It's definitely going to depend on her size and the neckline of the gown. I am a 34G and while I've found bras labeled to fit my size, they have all been complete failures (I've now tried 6 different backless/strapless bras). If she's bigger than a DD, I would advise the taping method!

Here's an article reviewing several. I just noticed it's a few years old so they may or may not still be on the market:

This is a viewer review for a heavy duty lifting adhesive called the Rabbit that is advertised on Youtube popups:

I'm a DDD and have never tried them personally but hate regular strapless bras so it's worth checking out anyway.
