Stepsister (who is my baker) isn’t responding to me!

My stepsister is baking my wedding cake. I asked her to do it months ago and she happily accepted. I told her to tell me the price at some point and that I would Venmo her the money. She never got back to me with a price. A couple months later, I messaged her on FB and told her to tell me the price and I would send her money. Again, nothing. A week ago, I messaged her again. Nothing. We are 4 weeks out and I need to confirm the price, flavor and if she’s actually going to make this darn cake. I know she’s gotten them because it shows she’s read them.
She has kids and works, so I understand that she’s not able to get back to me quickly sometimes. It's been 6 months since I’ve heard from her though. We aren’t super close, but are friendly. Our parents were married just a couple years ago. What do I do?
I’m going to see her mom (my stepmom) and my dad next weekend. Should I ask her if she's heard anything? I don’t want to get our parents involved, but I’m concerned that I won’t have a wedding cake. Ugh.

Stop with the messaging and FB and CALL her. If you need to leave a voicemail, tell her if you don't hear back in day or two, you're going to have to find another source because of the time crunch.

Find a bakery ASAP!! I wouldn’t waste anymore time on her if she’s non responsive.

I’m going to give her a call. If she doesn’t respond, I’ll order a cake. I have a baker on standby.

Yes just simply ask again if she is still willing because if she's not its important for you to find a baker

I would definitely find another baker. Even if she has kids, she can surely find time to respond to you, especially since she said she's make the cake. She should be reaching out to YOU asking you how you want the cake to be done, etc. All of the details should have been worked out a while ago, I would assume!! I am really sorry you're having to deal with this so close to your wedding. I pray and hope you'll find a baker in your area who will make your cake for a reasonable price (if you decide to go this route). I am truly wishing the best for you!!!

I would have a backup plan ASAP. I would also call her and find out what’s going on. If she doesn’t respond go with someone else and stop messaging her.

If you’re worried about family drama, give her one more chance with a phone call. I work and have a kid who’s in two sports and a fiancé, and still manage to get back to people. There’s no excuse for her behavior. If she doesn’t respond by the end of the weekend, hire a baker.

I would ask your mom immediately, like today. I'd also call your stepsister and stop messaging/texting. Then I'd look into other bakers if she hasn't heard anything or you don't hear anything.
