Stepfather Daughter Dance

I can't say much for the last two songs but I have heard the Kelly Clarkson song before and I think any man that has stepped up as a father figure would be touched by that song.

My old man is more of a son about his dad who had passed away. I don't think that would be a really good song to have. But I am in the same boat my step dad has been my hasn't been in my life since I was about 8 months old

Just curious- do you introduce him as your dad or stepdad? My stepdad is my dad.

My step dad and I danced to "The Way You Look Tonight." I think usually it's seen as a romantic song, but it really works in that context.

My step dad (I call him dad) and I will be dancing to Unforgettable. We are both musically inclined people and the connection makes sense for us.

I introduced the man who raised me as my father since anyone who knows me knows him as that at our wedding and we used "It won't be like this for long" by Darius Rucker. I think the "He didn't have to be" could work really well too for a stepfather.

I'm with @Sylphier. We danced to Daddy's Little Girl. It was the song my mom had danced with my grandfather to at her wedding.

I am going with "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw. Even though he didn't come into my life until elementary school (so obviously some lyrics like "since the day you were born" don't exactly fit), I think it's still the perfect song because he is one of my biggest supporters. I had to play it for my mom because she didn't know it, and we both cried (:

Brad Paisly!! I LOVE that song. First time I heard it I almost cried. My brother in law is walking me down, he's the only man to step up for me, being a kid himself he really didn't have to. But this song being about a step dad.. sounds pretty perfect for you!
