So does anyone know of any songs that talk about Step-Dad and daughter relationships? My stepdad is the man that I call dad, but so many songs talk about a dad and daughter when she was a little girl. My (step)dad and mom got married when I was an older teen. I know there's a Brad Paisley song that talks about a son and stepdad who's like a real dad. But I'm wondering if there's one about a daughter! Thanks for any help or suggestions!

My dad passed away when I was 11. My mom remarried when I was 15. My step dad and I are dancing to "I hope you dance" by Lee Ann Womack

I let my step dad choose the song. He chose Gotta Let Go, it isn't a step dad/daughter song however he felt it was the one that made the most sense for our relationship. I was about 12 when they got married so he wasn't there for my younger times.

My step dad and I are dancing to Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapmen. We choose it together because it describes our relationship. Even though I was 14 when he married my mom. It best describes the the relationship we formed 12 years ago and how we feel about each other
