Step parents role?

My stepmom and stepdad have a corsage/boutonniere and a reserved seat up front. But they won’t do anything in the actual wedding. My stepmom is helping with the rehearsal dinner and my stepdad is grateful to have nothing to do and no pressure lol

You don’t have to give them a particular “role”. They will be part of everything with your mom and dad. I would get them a corsage and boutonnière and have them sit in the front row but they don’t need to do anything else.

Since my dad refuses to come to my wedding, my step dad who has been helping my mom raise me since I was 8 is going to walk me down the aisle.

My father and I don’t have a relationship so my Daddy (step dad) will be walking me down the aisle... and I can’t wait!

I haven't thought much about how I could involve my step-dad more. My dad is going to walk me down the aisle but now that I'm thinking about it I know I definitely want to have a dance with my step-dad since he is basically a second father figure to me and we're super close!

I’ll probably get her a corsage and she can sit up front with my dad lol but that’s about it. Our relationship isn’t really a strong one.

My step-mom didn't have a role. She and my dad were the only parents at the wedding so it was more about just having them there. But there are always options like having them walk down the aisle before you and you fiancé, having them escort you, or what one of my brides did, she was escorted down the aisle by her dad but stopped before reaching the end of the aisle while her step-dad stood up so they could exchange a hug. My brother danced with our step-mom at his wedding too.

My step dad and real dad will be walking me down the aisle and I am doing a father daughter dance with both! I’m also doing a mother daughter dance ☺️

My Stepdad - Walked my mom down the aisle during the processional, wore a boutineer, got ready with the guys, his entire family was invited & included in the rehearsal dinner.

My husband's Stepmom - Walked with his father down the aisle during the processional, wore a corsage, got ready with the girls, was included in the rehearsal dinner with her kids.
