Step Father

Sarah, on December 10, 2019 at 1:11 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 14

My step father has gone above and beyond to make my big day special.

My real father is walking me down the isle and doing the father daughter dance, my step dad did not want to upsest him.

Any ideas on something special I can do with or for my step father?

You could also do a dance with your step dad!

You could do another spotlight dance with your stepdad or a first look.

We're having my stepdad deliver the sand to the front for our unity ceremony, and I'm also doing a dance with him. I've also contemplated doing a first look with him because he has been a large part of all of our lives.

My friend had both her dad and step-dad walk her down the aisle. She also danced with both of them. Only her biological dad gave a toast though. Would you step-dad want to give a speech or do a reading? What about a first look with him?

I agree with Amber. Having another father/daughter dance with your stepdad would be nice!

Yes, having step dad give a speech, or do the blessing over dinner, could be a great idea too!

It's small but you could get him to introduce you and the wedding party at the reception.

I’m having both my father and step father walk me down the aisle. And I’m doing a father/daughter dance with both of them (just gonna have Dj shorten the sons up a little bit so people aren’t watching me dance for a long period of time😂). My step dad doesn’t have any kids of his own, and has been a part of my life for over half of my life! And they both get a long great.

Hi! I am in a similar situation. I am having my dad walk me half way and then my step dad walk me the second half. They are going to stop near the middle and "hand me off." Maybe you could have your step dad walk you half way and then your dad walk you the second half and give you away?

I'd do to dances one with your dad and the other with your stepfather.

Or have both of them walk you down the aisle it's like they're both giving you away💜

I was going to have both my dad and stepdad walk me down the aisle and was going to dance with both. Unfortunately, both my dad and stepdad have died since I got engaged. Whatever you choose, just cherish every single second ♥️

Do both dad and step dad get along? Can they both walk you down the isle?
