Stella York questions

Chip, on December 30, 2016 at 1:57 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 3

Does Stella York offer in custom lengths?

After reading a few more threads, I'm starting to worry about the alterations to my dress. I'm definitely height impaired (5'1, 5'3ish with my shoes), and I'm reading that most dresses are made for women around 5'10, so thats 7 inches of dress (which the hem is lace!) that will need to come off.

When the boutique measured me, they didn't mention the possibility for custom length to avoid the hemming issue.

Am I over thinking this?

I can't answer is Stella York has custom lengths- but if you already placed your order you won't be able to change it now. Your seamstress will be able to hem the gown without losing the lace

I got a Stella York and they took my specific measurements so it came already the correct height instead of having to cut the lace and then reattach it

    Edit: I'm 5'2, 5'5 with my heels I'm wearing

I believe most designers do. I ordered my dress exactly 6 months to date and they told me the custom length wouldn't arrive on time and I needed to order 7-8 months before the date. I had to buy 5.5 inch heels because the bottom of the hem has beading and a tailor cannot alter it Smiley sad. I would do custom length for sure!!
