Steaming your veil?

I ordered a veil on Etsy, and it arrived a bit wrinkled. I kept it in the packaging until my hair trial last month; and the hair stylist mentioned that it needs to be steamed before my wedding. Totally makes sense - just not something I thought of. Does anyone have recommendations or experience with how to steam a veil? I don’t have a home steamer. Thanks!

You can get a handheld steamer for pretty cheap, less than $20. Just hand the veil up and go slow and don't get too close. If all else fails, just read the instructions.

I bought a hand steamer for about $15 at Walmart. Look in the laundry section to find it.
You could also try hanging it in the bathroom, run a straight hot shower, close the door and check on it periodically.
Or use an iron on steam setting and hold the iron 6-8" above the veil and shoot steam at it. What ever you do DO NOT TOUCH THE IRON TO THE VEIL!!

Buy a cheap steamer on Amazon. Hang it and hang a plastic garment bag behind it as the steam will go right through the veil. Don't get too close to the veil.

If you don’t want to steam it with a machine and have sometime, stick it in the bathroom with you while you take a hot shower! I do this with so many wrinkly clothes!

I agree with hanging it up in your bathroom during a shower if you don't want to go buy a steamer.

Another bride said she took her veil out and hung it on a hanger in the bathroom. The veil got steamed that way.

My stylist suggested this when I bought my dress and veil! I haven’t attempted it yet, but may try it soon to see how well it works!

Hang it up in the bathroom and turn the hot shower on and the steam from that should do it

I mixed handheld steamer with shower steam. I used tissue in between potato-bag clips at the bottom of the veil to give it some weight to straighten out. It looks great now!
