Stationary

Danielle, on September 14, 2018 at 9:39 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 7
What are your thoughts on making your own wedding stationary? (RSVP cards, programs, and invitations.)

If you've made them yourself what kind of paper did you use? We ordered invitations that are heavy normal invitations that we will be printing on and designed matching RSVP cards and stationary on the computer just wondering what kind of paper to print it on so that they aren't to flimsy.
Thanks in advance for the advice

I looked into doing myself, I found it cheaper (at least in my area) to do it through websites like zazzle and vista print.

We used Cards and Pockets. They printed and cut the paper using our design, cut paper for the backing, and provided the pocketfolds. Then we just had to glue things together and insert everything into the pocketfolds to make the invitations. The paper they use is intended for invitations, so not at all flimsy.

I have a friend with a Cricut Design Machine that is helping me recreate some similar that I found on Pinterest using card stock I purchased from Amazon. I also ordered pens for her machine so the print can be done using the same machine in a calligraphy font.

You can DIY invitations and keep that at a professional high quality level by using services that offer high quality stock. I recommend Basic Invite and Minted to many of my clients who don't want to spend a lot but still want high quality.

I have a code that I give to all none clients to get a discount for Basic Invite that's 20% and to get 15% off at Minted. Personally, I think Basic Invite has amazing quality for an amazing price.
